A small Python script to view and edit the coin count of Crossy Road (Microsoft Store / UWP version) on Windows.
- Windows with the Microsoft Store version of Crossy Road installed (
Yodo1Ltd.CrossyRoad) - Python 3.8+
- No third-party dependencies
Close the game first, then run:
python set_coins.py # show the current coin count
python set_coins.py 99999 # set the coin count to 99999
python set_coins.py +500 # add 500 coins
python set_coins.py -200 # remove 200 coinsExample output:
Current coins: 1250
Coins: 1250 -> 99999 (.bak backups created)
The game stores its progress in two save files under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Yodo1Ltd.CrossyRoad_s3s3f300emkze\:
LocalState\CloudBackupSave.datRoamingState\latest-save.dat
Both contain the coin count in the "cc" field. The script reads the current value, then rewrites it in both files so they stay in sync.
Before any change, each file is copied next to the original with a .bak extension. To undo a change, close the game and replace each save with its .bak copy.
- The coin count cannot be negative; the script exits with an error if the result would be below 0.
- If a save file is missing, the script exits without changing anything. Launch the game at least once so the saves exist.
- Only the Microsoft Store version is supported. Other platforms use different save locations.
- Running the script again overwrites the previous
.bakfiles.
