This repo is a single, opinionated home for your EA FC 27 PC setup — graphics presets, controller mappings, gameplay profiles, and match stats, all in one place. It exists so you can stop guessing at settings and start playing. Everything here is curated for the PC version specifically, not ported from console advice. Fork it, trim what you don't need, and keep the parts that actually matter to your setup.
- Centralizes PC setup, graphics tuning, controller mapping, and match stats in one hub instead of scattered notes.
- Opinionated presets: pick a tier, get sensible settings — no manual slider crawling.
- Windows-first optimization guidance that targets actual bottlenecks, not placebo tweaks.
- Controller profiles that respect different pads and playstyles; save more than one.
- Gameplay profiles for attacking, defensive, and balanced approaches — swap without rebuilding instructions.
- Match analytics dashboard that surfaces pass completion, shot accuracy, possession, and fitness at a glance.
- Progress tracking for career, online divisions, and skill rating so improvement is visible, not guessed.
- Troubleshooting shortcuts for the usual suspects: crashes, stutter, controller dropouts, audio routing.
- Structured as a hub: features, setup, keybinds, FAQ, license — no filler chapters.
- Built for people who want to play, not debug. If a setting doesn't move performance or control, it's not here.
Read the files before touching anything. The hub is a configuration layer, not an installer — it assumes FC 27 and your drivers are already in place. If your game doesn't launch clean, fix that first; this repo won't do it for you.
Clone or copy the repo into a path without spaces. Windows hates spaces in config paths, and you will too when a profile silently fails to load.
Structure your work in this order:
- Inventory your hardware. Run the built-in scanner once. It writes a baseline report you'll compare against later. Don't skip this and guess your tier — the presets are calibrated against real readings, not vibes.
- Apply a graphics preset. Pick the tier that matches the scanner's output, not the one you wish you had. Starter, Standard, Enhanced, Ultimate. One tier up is not "a little better" — it's stutter. Start low, climb only if frame times stay flat.
- Configure your controller. Map buttons, set dead zones, tune stick sensitivity. Save one profile per playstyle. Do not reuse a profile across different pad types; the dead zone math doesn't transfer.
- Load a gameplay profile. Attacking, Defensive, or All-Round. These adjust in-game sliders and team instructions. Treat them as starting points, then tune to taste — the defaults are deliberately conservative.
- Verify. Play one match. Watch for stutter, input lag, and dropped inputs. If any appear, drop a graphics tier before you touch anything else.
Keep your edits in the repo's config files, not scattered across the game's install directory. Version your changes. When something breaks, you want a diff, not a memory.
Laptops: disable battery saver for sessions, keep the charger plugged in, and don't trust the "balanced" power plan. Desktops: wired network for online play, always.
If the controller isn't detected, check the cable and firmware before you blame the hub. If the game crashes at launch, update GPU drivers and Windows updates before you file anything here. If audio routes wrong, fix it in Windows sound settings — the hub won't override your OS.
Nothing here is magic. It's a tidy place to keep your settings so you stop rebuilding them every patch. Treat it that way and it'll save you hours.
- Movement / Attack: WASD, Space to pass, Shift to sprint. Remap only if your muscle memory demands it.
- Defending: J to tackle, K to slide. Keep these close — panicked fingers lose matches.
- Camera: Arrow keys for quick look. Don't over-tune sensitivity; consistency beats twitch.
- Controller first: If you have a gamepad, use it. Keyboard is a fallback, not a preference.
- Profile swaps: Bind your gameplay profiles (Attacking, Defensive, All-Round) to adjacent keys so you can switch at halftime without menu diving.
- Sprint discipline: Map sprint to a button you can hold comfortably for 90 minutes. Cramping is a real tactical disadvantage.
- Reset defaults: One keybind for restoring stock controls. You will need it after experimenting.
- Conflict check: The hub flags overlapping binds before you save. Read the warnings — overlapping inputs cause silent misfires mid-match.
- Save per game mode: Career and online play deserve separate bind sets. Grinding menus is not gameplay.
-
Is this a replacement for the game? No. It's a companion hub for organizing your FC 27 setup, gameplay, graphics, controllers, and match stats. The game itself is separate.
-
Do I need this if I already know my settings? Then you probably don't. Skip it. This is for people who want one place to manage configs instead of scattered notes and guesswork.
-
Does it modify my game files? It organizes configuration. Back up your existing dotfiles and configs before applying anything — that's just good hygiene, not a warning label.
-
Which platforms are supported? Windows PC. Don't ask about consoles.
-
Will my controller work? Standard Xbox and PlayStation pads are the safe bet. Exotic third-party gear is hit or miss — test before you commit.
-
Why is my performance worse after applying a preset? You picked a preset above your hardware tier. Drop down a level. The hub doesn't create frames out of thin air.
-
Can I keep multiple profiles? Yes. That's the point. Separate profiles for different playstyles or machines, switch as needed.
-
Is my data uploaded anywhere? No. Everything stays local. If you expected cloud sync, you're using the wrong tool.
-
Something broke. What now? Restore your backup, re-read the Setup section, and check that your configs match the expected format. Most issues are a stale file or a typo, not a bug.
-
Will this be updated? When it needs to be. Don't expect a release cadence for a dotfiles hub.
